LUNCHEON KEYNOTE:
Our Luncheon Keynote speaker Phil Hurtig spoke to The Power of Commitment. Mr. Hurtig is a Distinguished Toastmaster and is an awarding winning public speaker and fulltime Realtor with Brown-McMillen Real Estate in Burlington, WA.
Mr. Hurtig’s specialties include impromptu speaking, storytelling, motivation and linguistic deception in public speaking and marketing. He believes that with the right encouragement everyone can conquer their fear of public speaking and truly enjoy the experiences and opportunities that public speaking presents.
Mr. Hurtig delivers in excess of 75 speeches each year to service groups and corporations throughout the western United States. He is currently working on a book about the use of linguistic deceptions as a communication tool in public speaking.
EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS:
We especially wish to thank the educational speakers which include our morning/afternoon professional development speaker Karen Wright, owner of Wright Minded. Karen is a professional speaker and publishing author of The Sequoia Seed: Remembering the Truth of Who You Are, and an international champion for those aspiring to lead change in the world.
For 20 years, Karen has helped individuals birth their dreams and find their clarion voice. Waking Up, her bimonthly ezine, has gained a fiercely loyal following spanning the globe and her messages of inspiration and wisdom are reprinted in dozens online newspapers and sites each week.
Karen’s life is dedicated to balancing the leadership energies in business and communities, and re-visioning a more conscious business climate. She conducts women’s retreats and workshops for women seeking clarity of vision and purpose through reconnection to spiritual wisdom and truth. She also provides personal one-on-one coaching for those looking to fast-track their personal or career growth.
The POWER OF COMMITMENT:
We also wish to thank long-time member and past IAAP International President Judy McCoy, CPS/CAP. Judy served as a leader in the Bellingham Chapter, the Washington-Alaska Division and for six years, on the IAAP International Board of Directors. She was excited to be home to guide our members toward excellence and to help them reflect on their own personal success. Membership in IAAP means having access to a host of resources that IAAP has to offer administrative professionals across Whatcom County.
