Bellingham A Leader in the Association

The Bellingham Chapter continues as a leader in the IAAP Organization, supporting members from Whatcom and Skagit Counties, and was recognized by the WA-AK Division as the top Chapter newsletter WRITE Connection in 2006. 

Over the years, the chapter has been recognized for membership growth at various levels of the Association:

  • Anne M. Hopkins, 2008 Distinguished Chapter President
  • Pam Clark Hamilton, 2003 Distinguished Chapter President
  • Pat Brown, CPS, 2001 Distinguished Chapter President
  • Judy McCoy, CPS/CAP, 1996 & 1997 Distinguished Chapter President

In January 2001, Bellingham chartered the Skagit Valley Chapter located in Mount Vernon, Washington. The new chapter is supported by sixteen charter members.

Other awards presented to the chapter included 2001 IMPACT Recruitment Awards for "Best of Division," "Best of District" and "Best of All." Membership Chair Pam Clark Hamilton and the chapter were also named a "Plus-One" chapter at the Division and International levels.

The International Association of Administrative Professionals is a not-for-profit professional association for office professionals with approximately 40,000 members and affiliates and nearly 600 chapters worldwide.
